About Us

Members of the Washington College AMA Chapter at the International Collegiate Conference in 2023. New Orleans, LA

What We Do . . .

Re-established in January 2017, the Washington College Chapter of the American Marketing Association is a small but mighty organization on campus. We represent the best and brightest of student marketers across all majors. We deeply value new perspectives and unique experiences, welcoming anyone and everyone dedicated to the marketing process.

We take pride of our membership in the American Marketing Association. As a fully participating chapter, we have access to all available competitions for an annual year and member interests. Our approach is quality over quantity; we aim to finish a project to its entirety.

Beyond taking on between 5 - 10 projects a year at both the national and regional level, we also look for local partners and collaborative opportunities. On our campus and within the Chestertown community we strive to build strong connections and maintain relationships in keeping with the tight-knit culture of Washington College.

In 2018 - 2019, our Case Competition Team were placed in the second tier, “Honorable Mention” for their work on the Wall Street Journal Marketing Communications Plan. We are incredibly proud of that year’s great efforts.

In ‘23 and ‘24, our Chapter was named a Top Small Chapter at the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Conference out of over 200 universities and colleges! Thanks to that chapter’s amazing work throughout the year, we were able to secure this achievement.

Join us to experience marketing first-hand; you can try anything from building and maintaining a website to becoming a project manager. We do it all. We are the Washington College Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
