  • Kendal Thomson, President at Washington College AMA Chapter

    Kendal Thomson

    PRESIDENT

    Kendal is a senior and has been a member of AMA since her freshman year because she aspires to work in sports marketing. This is her second year as president, and is double majoring in Psychology and Economics with a minor in Marketing. Outside of AMA, she is a captain of the field hockey team and a member of the Libby and Douglass Cater Society.

    Emily is a senior and has been a member of AMA since her freshman year because she is pursuing a career in marketing. This is her second year as Vice President and first year as Treasurer. She is majoring in Business Management and minoring in Marketing and Psychology. Outside of AMA, she is a member of the field hockey team.

    Celia is a senior returning member of AMA who joined to develop her marketing skills. She is majoring in Sociology and Communication & Media Studies with a minor in Justice, Law, & Society. Outside of AMA, she is a member of the field hockey team, the Libby and Douglass Cater Society, and works as a tutor on campus.

    Ashley is a junior returning member of AMA who joined for the community environment. She is a Business Management major with a minor in Spanish. Outside of AMA, Ashley is a member of the field hockey team, works for admissions, and is a digital marketing intern for AVI.

    Giselle is a senior returning member of AMA that aspires for a career in marketing. She is majoring in Business Management and minoring in International Business and Marketing. Outside of AMA, she is a captain of the volleyball team, a member of the Brown Advisory Board, and an intern at the Career Center.

    Kenny is a junior returning member of AMA who joined to broaden his business experience and develop professional and leadership skills. This is his second year as Director of Communications, and he is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

    DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP

    Martise is a junior returning member of AMA who joined because he enjoys the collaborative environment. He is majoring in Economics and minoring in Environmental Studies and Finance. Outside of AMA, Martise is the Parliamentarian for the Student Government Association and works at the Help Desk.

    Jaden is a junior returning member of AMA. She is a Biology major with a Psychology minor and joined AMA to try something new.

Faculty Advisors

Georgina Bliss, Faculty Advisor of Washington College AMA Chapter

Georgina Bliss

Georgina is the Assistant Director of the Center for Career Development and certified Gallup CliftonStrengths coach for almost 9 years. Georgina spent the previous 30 years as a brand marketing manager-strategist working for New York-based prestige consumer product industry and managing a family firm specializing in retail construction project management across the globe. She has co-advised the American Marketing Association Chapter at Washington Collage since 2017, and in 2019, Washington College’s AMA CASE COMPETITION for the Wall Street Journal came in the second tier “Honorable Mention” group. Since that first big win, the Chapter has won numerous awards every year since 2021 including TOP SMALL CHAPTER for 3 consecutive years (2023 - 2025) at the ICC. Other awards are in Marketing Week and functional areas.

Georgina supports the Department of Business Management as an adjunct professor most recently instructing Principles of Marketing in a hands-on format to build presentation, communications, technology, and speaking skills. She is passionate about marketing and guiding students through the AMA collegiate program. Her wide range of experiences from manufacturing to merchandising supports her students as they dream about their futures.  

Georgina completed her Master of Arts in Leadership Studies at Northern Vermont University, part of Vermont State University. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont where she completed a double major in Romance Languages (French) and Political Science with Honors and obtained a Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing in 2016 (CDMP). Most recently, Georgina was honored to be inducted into the Leadership Honorary Society, Omnicron Delta Kappa.

Dr. Caroline LeBon, Faculty Advisory of Washington College AMA Chapter

Caroline LeBon, Ph.D.

Dr. LeBon is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Director of the Marketing Minor at Washington College. This is her third year teaching in the Department of Business Management. We are excited to welcome Dr. LeBon to the AMA Chapter as part of our outstanding advising team.

Highlight: Dr. LeBon’s research considers and analyzes the changes in companies’ marketing strategies. She has published an article explaining how fashion brands and stores use diverse strategies to present their products and increase repeat exposures to convince customers to purchase their fashion items. She also wrote a book on fashion marketing discussing strategies companies use to increase fashion products success globally.

Before joining academia, Dr. LeBon spent 10 years as a buyer for the leading French department store, Galeries Lafayette - Paris. In her role, Dr. LeBon oversaw the selection, negotiation, and procurement for national and international brands and was responsible for sales revenues, prices, margins, promotional activities, and inventory management for the accessories, womens, and mens departments.
